We named our film "The Significance" because it shows how one action leads to another. To make this "big idea" stand out, we used a large, bold font called Futura Bold. We didn't use many flashy effects, instead, we used fading music and smooth scene changes to create a sad mood. For the transitions, we stuck to simple cuts between different camera angles.
To get better sound, we recorded audio on our phones using voice memos instead of the camera. It wasn't always easy we dealt with people being absent, injuries, and short schedules. Even with those problems, we worked hard to get it done.
Isabel Laveus, our teammate, handled the editing since she has experience and she found the process pretty smooth. She spent 3 hours editing so far and expects to spend about 5 hours in total. We still have one hallway scene left to film, but we’ll finish it before the deadline. This project has taught us a lot about being resilient and working better as a team.
