To keep the video feeling serious and emotional, we went with a clean, simple font and used neutral colors that wouldn't distract from the story. On the technical side, we spent time adjusting the brightness and contrast to make the scenes look a bit darker and more realistic, and we applied light color correction so all the shots matched. To make sure the video flowed well, we stuck to basic transitions like slow fades and cross dissolves.
For the sound, we added soft background music and worked on lowering any loud background noises. We definitely ran into some hurdles, like uneven lighting, awkward cuts between scenes, and distracting sounds in the original clips. We fixed these by being more precise with our trimming, adjusting camera levels, and even re-filming a few parts that didn't feel natural enough the first time around.
The editing process is taking some time, but it’s been a solid team effort. While I’ve been the one mainly focused on cutting the clips and adding the effects, everyone else has been helping out by brainstorming ideas and figuring out the best way to tell the story.
