After carefully reviewing our peer feedback, we identified several technical issues that were diminishing the overall impact of our narrative. The most significant critique highlighted the absence of sound, which left the visuals feeling disconnected and hollow. To address this, we are incorporating diegetic audio elements such as footsteps, breathing, and environmental sounds. These additions will help ground the scene in reality and amplify the underlying tension, making the audience feel more immersed in the characters’ experience.
In addition to sound improvements, we are refining our cinematography and pacing to create a more cohesive and engaging story. We plan to reshoot shaky footage using a tripod, ensuring that camera movements are smooth and intentional, motivated by the characters’ actions rather than accidental or distracting. This stability will enhance the visual storytelling and maintain viewer focus. Furthermore, we are re-editing the opening sequence to sharpen the conflict and better communicate the characters’ emotional state. By employing match cuts, such as transitioning from a slamming locker to a book, we visually reinforce the tension and stress experienced by the characters without relying on dialogue.
Together, these technical and creative adjustments will strengthen the narrative’s impact, allowing the audience to stay fully immersed in the story and its message.
